UPDATE:
There was more Vegas news today.
Stephen Paddock’s brother got arrested for child porn. Not the crazy one that did those crazy interviews. Another brother.
What are the chances of that, I wonder?
I should suspect they are not very high.
And can you think of a crime that is easier to frame someone for than child porn on a computer?
I personally cannot think of a single crime that is easier to frame someone for. Not one single crime. Coincidentally, it is also a crime that no one wants to defend a person accused of.
Daily Mail:
A brother of Las Vegas shooter Stephen Paddock has been arrested for child pornography.
Bruce Paddock, 59, was arrested Wednesday morning at 8:40am at an assisted living home in North Hollywood, California.
Bruce had been under investigation for child porn since before the October 1 shooting, but officials didn’t know where he was living.
Police found more than 600 child pornography images on his computer, which was left behind in a Sun Valley auto repair shop where he squatted in 2014. But after he was evicted he disappeared and police had been searching for him ever since.Note: the FBI is the same organization currently covering up whatever the hell happened in Vegas on the first.
After the shooting, they got a tip about Bruce’s whereabouts and tracked him down to the assisted living center, where he was awaiting surgery for spinal stenosis.
Aerial footage from the scene on Wednesday showed Bruce in a wheelchair.
A joint task force that included the FBI and LAPD made the arrest.
According to the 20-page criminal complaint, Bruce faces one count of possession of more than 600 images of child pornography and 19 counts of sexual exploitation of a child. So, yes.
Police say the crimes happened between January 1, 2014 and August 30, 2014.
The LAPD released Bruce’s mugshot ‘in case there may be victims of unreported incidents’.
They say his arrest has nothing to do with the Las Vegas shooting.
Bruce is being held on $60,000 bail.
TMZ previously reported that Bruce lives a ‘nomadic life’ and has a long criminal history including convictions for petty theft and vandalism.
Bruce also threatened to murder a property owner in 2014, while he was squatting at a home in the San Fernando Valley.
The home owner, Hector Cruz, told KTLA that Bruce was a longtime friend and he was going through a hard time that year when he asked to come over to his auto shop to fix his car.
Instead, he ended up squatting in the attic of the business and soon became a nuisance to workers.
Cruz said that when he found out Bruce was tampering with machinery and equipmen, the man snapped.
He said Bruce got into a fighting stance with clenched fists and told him ‘If you keep f****** with me I am going to kill you and drop you in the desert.’
On another occasion, he brought a gas canister up into the attic and threatened to set the auto shop on fire.
‘He told me he was going to kill me,’ Cruz said.
Cruz described Bruce as a drug user, who sold meth and weed.
Cruz was eventually able to get a retraining order and Bruce fled the shop, leaving his computer with the damning images behind.
He’s a criminal. I presume the restraining order can be confirmed. What this Cruz is saying could all be made up. Anyway, it doesn’t matter. Most people are not pedophiles, most criminals are not pedophiles – pedophilia is a very specific type of mental illness that affects a very small number of people, most of whom are homosexuals.
Maybe he’s a pedophile, sure. This could be exactly what it looks like.
However, it could also be that they were surveilling him, and he was saying things that they didn’t want said. Maybe they sent someone to talk to him and he got belligerent.
Which is more likely?
I don’t have any idea. We don’t have any idea about any of this. But we know we’re being lied to.
And I would think – I also have no idea about this either, it’s pure speculation, but I do think – that the FBI wouldn’t want people to be looking at this any more than they already are, so would probably not move on this guy for CP right in the midst of all of this if it really is CP.
I would think that someone higher up in the organization would be like “yo, hold up on that – if we arrest this guy, it’s going to make people ask more questions about Vegas, and we’re trying to let this story die.”
Given that, it seems to me that it is more likely that they are arresting him to bully him into silence than because he actually did this.
But of course, they will be successful in silencing him, and we won’t have any more information than we have right now.
That is the game here: total shutdown.
But we will remain on alert. Someone could screw up, some unknown individual could give information, some naive reporter could accidentally find something. These people are not gods.
We may yet unravel the mystery of our dead brothers and sisters in Las Vegas.
Original article follows.
Just when you thought this story couldn’t get any dumber…
ABC News:
A laptop computer recovered from the Las Vegas hotel room where Stephen Paddock launched the deadliest mass shooting in U.S. history was missing its hard drive, depriving investigators of a potential key source of information on why he killed and maimed so many people, ABC News has learned.“FINISHED SHOOTING – BETTER GET MY MAGNETIC SCREWDRIVER OUT AND REMOVE THIS HARD DRIVE AND THEN MAKE IT DISAPPEAR BEFORE I SHOOT MYSELF IN THE HEAD, EH?”
Paddock is believed to have removed the hard drive before fatally shooting himself, and the missing device has not yet been recovered, sources told ABC News.
Investigators digging into Paddock’s background also learned he purchased software designed to erase files from a hard drive, but without the hard drive to examine it is impossible to know if he ever used the software, one source said. This is bizarre. To drop this detail right now.
More than likely, if the HDD is missing, it was taken out by authorities.
At this point, it is possible that it was taken out by authorities higher than the FBI.
This “he bought software” thing could have been added afterward.
Remember that they are also claiming that his (gated upscale retirement community) house was robbed after the shooting. They would pretty much had to have done this themselves, presumably to steal/destroy evidence.
Note: I get that they are not necessarily saying he removed it immediately after the shooting, just some time before.
It is also possible that a second shooter – TWO VANTAGE POINTS, GUYS – took the disk with him.
Because they haven’t been able to explain why he shot himself – it isn’t because of the security guard, remember? – which means that a second shooter could have shot him and taken whichever pieces of evidence.
But I don’t really know why there would be two shooters. Most of the scenarios make more sense with a lone gunman. Though the idea he planned to blow up fuel tanks by shooting them with an AK-47 from the second vantage point – which is still the official story – is so dumb it makes me sick.
What I know is this:
- This isn’t some kind of false flag psy-op – if it was they would be using this for some agenda (presumably against the Alt-Right and Donald Trump), and they are not doing that
- This is a cover-up – they have been caught lying repeatedly, now apparently destroying evidence, there is no reason they would go to these depths unless there was something they didn’t want out
Point being: there is nothing to know here.
We have no way of knowing anything.
That is the trick they are pulling – the mind becomes frustrated with this situation, because there is no new information, then people stop paying attention.
Even I don’t write about it much anymore, because there is nothing to write, other than “I DON’T KNOW WHAT’S GOING ON HERE BUT I’M SURE IT’S SOMETHING.”
I’ve written half a dozen long articles going over everything I was able to dig up, so what can I write about now?
If people had kept following it – like they did with 911 and Pizzagate – they would have spread a bunch of kooky nonsense disinformation to make the whole thing look ridiculous and absurd, like they did with 911 and Pizzagate.
We have a situation here where the federal government can just bury mass casualty events, right in public view, without any consequences.
